First Unit of my Photography Class!!

I have just completed the first unit of my photography class, and the assignment this week was to take photographs and edit them in Picasa ( may be downloaded for free through Google !) I had a blast doing this assignment even though at first I was extremely nervous to share my pictures with the rest of class, however not that I have I can not wait for the next assignment dealing with taking photos of things in motion! Here are the pictures I took for this past unit, hope you like them as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Craw fish!

That's right! As surprising as it was for me I actually ate craw fish! Now, let me explain to you why this is such a big deal for me... I typically don't eat things that come from water, I struggle with shrimp... So I was actually surprised to try this and find out that it was not nearly as bad as I expected it to be. However, there was one thing I didn't quite understand and maybe one of you could explain this to me but I didn't think the meat inside the craw fish was worth the work ... Just saying, that  I don't understand why you would  want to work so hard for the little bit of meat they contain? I mean, sure you have to be really skilled to get the majority of the meat out, but even so its still not much! Granted I was not very skilled but even so, its not like one or two of those little things would fill someone up, hence the large plates full on the table.I guess if you love them enough the work to crack them open is worth it....  At the end of the day and through my experimenting with these creep creatures, I am glad I can say that I have tried craw fish and walked away without my stomach turning. Although I still prefer grilled steak over craw fish....

Cherry Blossom Trees

Weeks ago I was able to see the Cherry Blossom Trees and they were absolutely breath taking. As you can see from the picture above they are just such a majestic sight to see. I highly recommend that everyone takes a chance to see these trees they are absolutely stunning.
